Am I Attractive?

What is the attraction?

Why do we rate some people as attractive? How does our brain rank people on this scale? Of course, each person has psychological criteria for sympathy, along with a genetic predisposition to choose a partner of a certain type.

But in addition to individual preferences, there is a set of basic factors of attractiveness. Today, thanks to numerous studies, we can definitely say that in modern society, attractiveness is formed from a combination of several factors. We consider health, social status, and appearance of a person to be the basis of sexual attractiveness. This is basic physical attractiveness.

Then we evaluate emotional factors - behavior, attitude towards other people, belief system, self-confidence. Often these two levels of assessment are enough to fall in love, but most of us also use a third level of factors - the mental abilities of a potential partner and similarity of life interests.
