Difficult Person Test

What is a difficult personality?

What do we mean by a "difficult" personality? When people describe someone as having a "difficult character," they usually mean someone who lacks empathy, is hard to get along with, tends to be disrespectful, and is prone to harsh judgments and manipulation. These traits tend to put people off. Being around them can feel exhausting, and professional or romantic relationships with such people can turn into a real hell.

Difficult Personality Test

What specific personality traits make up a "difficult character?" This Difficult Personality Test is based on the research of Dr. Chelsea Sleep and her colleagues at the University of Georgia, which identifies seven such traits: Cruelty, Vanity, Aggressiveness, Suspicion, Manipulativeness, Dominance, and Risk Propensity.

We've also added a Lack of Empathy scale, since the ability to empathize is central to understanding what makes a personality truly "difficult."
