What Is Your Psychological Age?

What is psychological age?

Most of us have met someone who seems ageless — sharp, curious, and full of energy well into their later years. And most of us have met the opposite: someone young in years who seems to have checked out of life early.

Our mood, behavior, self-esteem, ability to learn and perceive, chosen activities, attitudes towards ourselves and others are determined not by chronological age (the number of years a person has been alive),but by psychological age. Psychological age is what makes you feel older or younger than you really are.

Determine your real mental age

People whose psychological age is lower than their chronological age tend to be more optimistic, tend to report better mental and physical health and lower rates of depression. This test consists of 25 questions about your behavior and will help determine how old you really are.

Your score is calculated across three scales: Passion, Optimism, and Openness to Experience. It is normal if your psychological age is more or less than your biological age. Neither result is better than the other — what matters is how you feel about where you are.
