Wednesday is not afraid to break the rules. She understands her individuality and is ready to defend it, coming into conflict with everyone, even her own family. We see a clear protest against the behavioral pattern of the mother - Wednesday does not want to follow in her footsteps.
Despite all her peculiarities, Wednesday is not insensitive - though she assures everyone that she's better off alone, she still worries about her friend Enid, her younger brother, and Eugene from the buzzing club.

Schizoid personality disorder
This disorder is characterized by detachment from others, emotional coldness, secrecy, and self-isolation. Schizoids have little interest in social interactions and seem self-sufficient, but at the same time, they have a deep need for another person. They give the impression of being passive and insensitive, but deep down they are active, and their emotions run high.

The character clearly has symptoms of an autism spectrum disorder. That is evidenced by her having difficulties determining and expressing emotions, intolerance to tactile contact, and very straightforward speech.
She has a narrow range of interests and none of these interests involve social interaction.
Another significant symptom is Wednesday's facial expressions - she very rarely smiles, does not blink often and, in general, has difficulty with non-verbal communication.

This disorder arises as a result of experienced events that have had a powerful negative impact on the psyche.
From Wednesday's memories, we learn that she was bullied by her peers, and the murder of her pet scorpion caused her a real psychological trauma. After that, she decided she would no longer cry, but this did not mean at all that she has healed from the trauma she had experienced.
As a result, she is feeling insecure among her peers; symptoms of avoidance and distancing have increased in her behavior.
